If need more help, please reach us at service creality3d. I own a monoprice maker select and that printer has been a never ending road of tweaking and modding to get decent prints and it still doesnt print well.
The ender 3 on the other hand is perfect! I assembled it without tensioning the x carriage and it still gave me an amazing first print vs the tweaking I had to do on the maker select. The aluminium extrusions give me confidence that this frame will remain true over a long time compared to the sheet metal frame and linear bearings on the maker select. The ender 3 also was able to print PETG and tpu out of the box unlike the maker select. Disregard those who say this is not an upgrade.
How many companies look at what the community did with their product and then release the newer version with many of the mods already incorporated without raising the price point. The Ender 3 is a budget printer with an output quality which rivals the Prusa for a fraction of the cost. The stock tubing and hotend on the Ender 3 pro has worked great for me with a simple setup and simple interface.
No need to add fluff if it works. Get the Prusa Slicer and get to making! I've ordered this machine in order to have a second one but it is on the way to be my number one: Fast delivery, fast assembly, easy to tune, very obedient to all your slightest tuning, I feel secured with it. It just works! After reading a lot of reviews that recommended I swap components add bearings to motors, new damping feets, etc I just order the board. By far this board is the easiest thing you can do to your Ender 3 Pro to make it slient.
Literally no motor noise or axis noise. Also the movements feel way better, smoother than before and I did notice a small increase in the print quality as well! Overall very happy with the mod, I can now use the printer in my office room, with no issue! This looks great!!! I just recived Ender 3 Pro couple days ago and will write review soon The best thing on it to me is flexible removable buildtac so its shame Ender 3 V2 wont have it, but all other stuff looks great and I think Im going to buy it when its out!!!
Not sure what "possibleuser" is on about. These upgrades are well recieved. Note there is also a fully upgraded hot end with a fan duct to cool the filament on extrusion. The Creality Ender 3 Pro is my first 3D printer. I purchased it as I have previously 'played' with CAD packages and been frustrated at not being able to physically handle the fruits of my labour.
I saw this purchase as move from imagination to reality or Creality. How to ISP Flash Firmware for Creality Ender-3 3D Printer(2019)
I was not disappointed. With only the instructions from the box It took me about 2 hours to build, I definitely think I could have managed it quicker but I was working on other things in parallel. I powered the unit up, mounted some filament, inserted the SD card, selected the dog model and hit print.
It has been printing boxes, filament guides, vases etc for 3 days now without a break, even printing my own 3D design which I pulled together with one of the well know print packages. I have had a few 3D printers from different manufactures and all have given me hours of entertainment as I have had to search the Internet forums for help in getting them built, set up correctly and advice on what went wrong with my many failed prints.
Like millions in the UK I find myself confined to my house and I have watched everything on Netflix so I decided to un-box and set up the CR V2 assured of many hours of fiddling around and searching for the answers to problems on the Internet and hours spent trying to contact customer support for missing parts and trying to decipher badly translated manuals So I have to report that I am disappointedThe Main board contained in the Creality Ender 3 does not come pre-flashed with a boot-loader.
Without A boot-loader We are unable to easily write new firmware to the Ender 3. We recommend following our Ender 3 boot-loader flashing tutorial if you wish to add additional mods to the Ender 3 like the BLTouch.
Vanilla Marlin Firmware configured for Ender 3 + BLTouch
The good thing about getting the break out board is you can return the Ender 3 back to completely stock without any sign of modifications. Unfortunately the wiring loom provided by BLTouch is to short to work with the Ender 3 so we recommend you purchase a wire extension kit along with the BLTouch or make your own extension lead using servo wire.
If you do decide to make your own cable make sure to keep all wires joined correctly using colour coded wire to save any confusion later on down the line. After installing the Ender 3 Custom Firmware We recommend you spend a short time checking all the newly made connections before testing the.
Thats is we are all done Just make sure you add the G29 command to the start GCODE in the slicing software configuration settings so that the printer will auto level at the begining of every print. We are looking for like minded people interested in software and hardware modifications to come and join us in the journey. BLTouch can be operated in the following condition. Most Board provides its own servo pin, so BLTouch can be used connected to one of those servo pins. As each servo pin has its own number, BLTouch will be controled with the servo pin number as following.
Soldering and firmware update might be needed in rare case. BLTouch is equipped with all three function as micro switch, servo motor and also servo arm. Comparison would be pointless if micro switch sensor for bed leveling does not include the retraction. At Inductive Proximity Sensors, to calculate the sensing distance for other application conditions the following parameters, which affect the sensing distance, must be taken into account.

The firmware that comes with the Creality Ender 3 BLtouch kit is very poor. It has no thermal runaway protection and is slow and inefficient.
This is Marlin 1. It has the bonus of adding a bootloader so you simply can update the firmware in future with a USB cable. This version suits a BLtouch V3. Full name. Your rental will be available for 30 days.

Please note that this is not the version I recommend for 8-bit boards like the one used in the Ender 3. The most stable and feature rich version of the firmware for this architecture is the 1. Marlin 2. Anyway, if you want to try this you can be sure I did the best I could to configure it properly and fit the maximum amount of features possible. It was downloaded and installed more than times and I believe most of the users will find no problems with it.
There are two ways to perform the automatic bed leveling, the first is before every print and the second is only when necessary. Based on my experience with the Ender 3, it's better to do an extremely precise slower bed leveling when necessary than a simpler one before every print. This firmware configuration reflects this choice.
Creality 3d Printer with BL Touch firmware Upgrade Notification
The pre-compiled firmware is also available here. The upload command in Windows PowerShell should look like this:.
After initializing the board with the new firmware don't forget to reconfigure the probe offsets running the following command from any serial terminal. Replace the default offset values in the command-5, 0 with the ones for your probe mount.
If you have a different bracket for BLTouch and would like me to pre-compile the firmware for you please let me know in the comments below. For power users that rely on OctoPrint for managing the workflow I created this ultimate version of the Firmware that packs the maximum amount of features the printer can handle at the expense of the SD Card support.

When arduino has finished uploading, the buzzer is running out of control. An irritating hum sound. The buzzer is normally connected to pin 27 on the Ender 3. When installing the BLTouch you are supposed to wire that up to the BLTouch, but it seems like your pin 27 is still connected to the buzzer.
If you have everything installed correctly, you shouldn't hear the buzzer at all. If you look around online you can get a "Pin 27 Adapter Board" which will allow you to connect the BLTouch without cutting any wires. You can also just cut the wire going to the buzzer and connect it to the BLTouch, but I would highly recommend finding a good tutorial before cutting anything.
Can confirm this is it, Tried the new firmware to check correct flash and didn't install the adapter yet. Makes sense once you know the buzzer pin. Skip to content. Now that we have configured the Arduino Uno with the proper software, we are going to use it to put a bootloader onto the Ender-3 Motherboard. This will allow us to flash our Marlin firmware to our ender directly from the USB port in the front of the printer.

Latest commit b82d Oct 9, Please view the "Ender-3 C7 Capacitor" picture uploaded above. The capacitor in question is circled - the yellow one closest to the Z endstop plug. It is labelled "C7" on the board. It is easy to remove - use a pair of pliers and grip the capacitor, then twist gently. It will break off with no damage. When you complete your installation and are ready to test for the first time, try homing the printer and touching the BL touch in mid-air.
This will ensure that your connections are working if doing so stops the Z axis from going down.
The BL touch should retract, and the gantry should go up and then try to go down again. Download V1. With Arduino, sometimes the fix for this is trying the upload more times. Open the Arduino IDE. Configure for upload. It will probably be the only one listed. If there are multiple ports, try uploading to a different port if the selected one doesn't work. Click the "Upload" button The second button from the left at the top of the program, the arrow pointing right.
Flashing the Bootloader Now that we have configured the Arduino Uno with the proper software, we are going to use it to put a bootloader onto the Ender-3 Motherboard.
