They only sell used cars so they are different than a big dealership in that they are smaller but they were nice both on the phone and in person.
Batter or alternator??
No pressure was put on us when we test drove the vehicle. Otherwise our experience at the test drive was nice. I purchased the car I had inquired about. The entire car lot, car inventory, and office area were all well-maintained and clean, including the car I bought. Staff was helpful and professional. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
Had a great experience, ended up purchasing the truck. They even delivered it to my home. All his ads are deceiving so if you see a vehicle he posts add on to the price because he will.
Even if you want to buy a car in cash he will tack on dealer fees. He also lies telling you that other dealers do the same, I called 3 dealers who had the same car and they all say the price you see is the price you pay period. Of course you have to pay taxes and tags.
This guy should be avoided at all costs. Excellent service. Volkswagen of Macon Ga.The Toyota and Lexus charging system is fairly straightforward in both diagnosis and repair. There are two main components of a Toyota or Lexus charging system — the battery and alternator.
The battery provides the initial voltage and amperage to crank over the engine, afterwards the alternator takes over in generating the power needed to run the electrical systems in the vehicle. With the headlights, blower motor, and radio on this should change very little.
If the voltages begin to drop into the low 13 volts or below usually rapidly as the loads increasea failing alternator is to blame. Seen above is a factory re-manufactured alternator next to a failing unit removed from a GS The output of the failing unit hovered around In our experience Toyota or Lexus genuine re-manufactured alternators are, even though they come at a premium, the best replacement option.
Although aftermarket replacements often come with free lifetime replacement warranties, repeated failures are more common than not.
If you are looking for a replacement alternator for a Lexus vehicle, try getting the part number from the Lexus dealership and having your local Toyota dealership check the number against their system.

So far has not recurred. My battery died on March 17th and the car was towed to the dealership, where it stayed until April 2nd. The service department wasn't able to find the problem. The battery died again on May 3'rd and the car was towed again to the dealership. There has to be a problem and I am annoyed that it has not been resolved. I have a car that I don't feel is reliable to take further than the supermarket. I had to disappoint my grandson because the dealership had my car during the time that I was suppose to pick him up for spring break, more importantly, I wasn't able to attend the funeral of my nephew this week because I didn't have my car.
I received a call late morning from a driver from Lexus advising me that he was ready to return my car, I have had no communication with the service department since Sunday and Monday at which time the calls were initiated by me.
I requested to speak with the service adviser to request an update on his findings. The response was the same, ''we didn't find anything wrong". The only suggestion he had for me was to make sure the key was at least 15ft away from the car. According to him, the car could be searching for the keys which could cause the battery to die.
I found that a bit amusing because, I dropped my key in my Lexus and wasn't able to find it. I notified the driver when it was picked up for service that the key was in the car, it had been there several months. I've assured the service department that I am not leaving the doors open, lights on, nor am I leaving the key in the car.
I'm not sure what to do next, my new car shouldn't die after nine months!!!! My battery died in January this year. Three weeks later the battery died again. The problem could be resulting from not driving the car for long periods of time or leaving the keys in the car, as per the service manager at Lexus. I drive my car on an average of three times per week, never leave my keys inside the car nor do I leave any lights on………3Xs in 3 months…………Not very happy with LEXUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But if the thought of poring over an options list for hours on end sounds as enticing as filling out a mortgage application, the Lexus GS could be for you. This upscale sedan comes with a robust set of standard features and a mercifully small selection of add-ons. The GS should meet most of your expectations for a luxury sedan. The cabin is quiet and roomy, the ride is comfortable, and the seats are properly plush.
While not the most fuel-efficient or powerful sedan in the class, the GS does offer a satisfying amount of thrust when needed. We're also won over by its value proposition.
Features such as leather upholstery, navigation and ventilated seats are often optional on a luxury sedan, but Lexus makes them standard on the GS. On the downside, this Lexus GS generation is getting on in years. Lexus introduced this model ina long time to go without a full redesign.
It's most apparent in the GS' mouselike infotainment controller. Time has not been kind to this interface, which is distracting to use while driving. Nearly every other competitor does better. Cabin design is also quite dated, lacking the wow factor of newer rivals. What you make of the GS largely comes down to your priorities. While we appreciate the GS 's value and easy buying experience, shoppers willing to put in a little more time will find more appealing and fresher options such as the Audi A6 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
You might even like Lexus' ES Recently redesigned, the ES is surprisingly sporty and offers a fresher look and feel than the GS. Edmunds' editorial team purchased and lived with a Lexus GS for a year. In that time, we drove the GS for just over 20, miles and came to appreciate the high levels of fit and finish as well as its smooth road manners over long distances.
Since our ownership experience, Lexus has added new features, but many of our observations remain relevant. Check out our long-term test page for a more detailed look into our ownership experience. Both use a 3. All-wheel is optional, but it comes with a six-speed automatic instead of the eight-speed. Standard equipment for the base GS with rear-wheel drive includes inch wheels, LED headlights, a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, and leather upholstery.
You also get a navigation system, a Advanced driving aids include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and mitigation, a blind-spot monitor, and pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking. The rear-wheel-drive F Sport ups the ante on handling with more aggressive styling, inch wheels with summer performance tires, a sport-tuned adaptive suspension and bigger front brakes.
It offers the option of four-wheel steering or a limited-slip rear differential. All-wheel drive is available, but it's not quite as sporty. It also doesn't offer the option of four-wheel steering or the limited-slip rear differential.
On all GS s, key stand-alone options include an automated parking system, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, a power trunklid, and a speaker Mark Levinson sound system. With this Lexus, what I was looking for was something good out of the box The GS checks all the boxes.
Check Top of the line Luxury? Check Fantastic dealer experience? Check HP minimum?Does anyone know what the problem could be?? That's correct if your serpentine belt is broken Melissa answered 3 years ago. I am not sure if I have the belt on the engine that drives the alternator. My car is a Lexus GS with ,miles. I have never changed the serpentine belt. I guess I will change the it and see if that resolves the problem fingers crossed. The belt is due for a change anyhow, after all those miles.
If it isn't the belt then what do you recommend I should do next? Did You change the ECU? All4lv76 answered 2 years ago. My battery on my Lexus GS went dead. So, my father recharged it. I went around the block and it ran like normal.
However, when I turned it off. The battery went dead again. So, my father recharged it again and I rode it around the block again. It had good speed and ran like it should. However, againithe battery died when we tried to crank it. This time, he put water in the battery and charged it. My car cranked but it would not go no faster than 10 - 20 miles per hour this time around. Then, I managed to get it to the dealership. Replace the bittle vacuum lines, spark plugs, engine air filter, irepair or replace the intake hoses that are dry rotted and cracked and repair the VVTI oil hose.
Do you know if the price for this is a good price or am I being over charged for this work? Is all of this necessary to get my car back operational? GuruBCXL8 answered about a year ago. Winston answered 2 months ago. As I understand, Lexus are notorious for this issue. Various modules draw on the battery even when the car is not in use.
We consider this a manufacturer defect. Winston answered about a month ago. I bought my wife a Lexus GS in That was before she retired and we moved to Idaho. As long as she drove the car to her daughter's home, only a mile away, to baby sit the two granddaughters, the car performed without incident. However, after she stopped driving the car everyday, and sat in the garage for 2 or more days, there was a consistent parasitic battery drain. Called our emergency road service and after jump starting the car, I'd drive it for about 20 minutes then return to the garage and as soon as i turned the engine off, and tried to restart it, it wouldn't start.See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.

And finally, the rear defroster stoped working. This car only has 82, and well taken care of as I have another car that I lease and the Lexus is usually in the garage.
Add Complaint. I purchased a new Lexus Gs and it just made it over 10K miles and I have already been stranded in my house with no car 2xs. The battery has died and the car would not move. No lights were left on and on both occasions Lexus said the same. Here I stand inside my house with no vehicle.
From one day to another - I had no car. Maybe Kia. Who knows anymore. I purchased my brand new Lexus ES less than three weeks ago. The car has less than miles. The car was sitting in my garage for three days and now is completely dead.
Had to call road side assistance. The battery was completely dead and the car could not start. The issue with the battery is not due to any lights being on. The car lights were completely off but battery drained anyway. I just found out from other Lexus owners that this is a flaw with Lexus cars. The battery runs out due to some malfunction.
The contact owns a Lexus GS The contact stated that the voice command feature did not operate properly. As a result, the contact had to enter three hand commands instead of being able to use her voice.
