The option to save a copy to this folder is enabled in his outlook that was the first thing I checked.
His mailbox is nowhere near the maximum size. The emails are delivered, as I tested this by sending an email to my address. When the send button is hit, a popup flashes up to say that a copy cannot be saved to the sent items folder because it has exceeded it's limit does not say size or number of items from memory.

I just upgraded from Outlook and cannot find how to place sent emails into the "Sent Items" folder and deleted emails into the "Deleted Items" folder as I need to do to match how my phone and tablet use email folders.

Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. I did have OutlookWordand Excel installed. I did not uninstall any of them. My issue is that Outlook uses the "Trash" folder when I delete an item while used "Deleted Items". My laptop, tablet, and phone use "Deleted Items". I prefer to keep "Deleted Items" for about a month in case I have mistakenly deleted something important.
Outlook made it easy to reassign folders as desired to sync with my other devices. It's annoying that this simple function has been hidden or removed.
